COMPANY HISTORY:In 1978, my husband suggested the name for the company,(E.Pat Foster Real Estate),invested in my stationary and hired a painter to make my signs. My father-in-law designed & built my office, & my Bar Harbor Times ad rep designed my logo. With the love & support of my family, friends & the local community, I "bit the bullet", hung out my shingle, & joined the local Board of REALTORs®. Grampie & a few of his hunting buddies gave me my first exclusive listings. Jumping in with both feet, as a founding member/director of our 'first ever' local multiple listing service, my original listings were submitted, ads were placed in our local paper, and that was it!I was in business! :^) In 1983 we renovated an old Carriage House in the historic village of Somesville,relocated the business & the "Somesville Carriage House" became my "PIECE OF MAINE".In the late 1980's, I learned to turn on a computer and life has been challenging ever since :^)

As a member and past president of the Acadia Council of REALTORs® (2003 local and 2008 State REALTOR® of the Year), 2007 Past President and "Life Member" for the Maine Association of REALTORS, National Director and member/Director of the Maine State Computerized Multiple Listing Service (MREIS), I can provide information on any properties offered for sale in the area. Primary emphasis is placed on listing and selling properties on Mt. Desert Island, near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
